Clive Markland received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Fisk University in 1997 and his J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2000.
Mr. Markland is a former Harris County prosecutor and experienced trial lawyer in the Texas community, previously being a named partner to a prestigious midsize firm and Of Counsel to a nationally recognized insurance defense firm in the United States. He represents each client passionately and always to the best of his ability, where settlement is not an option and trial is mandatory. Mr. Markland does not believe any case is too difficult and enjoys courtroom advocacy in the most complex and high stake cases.
Throughout his legal career, Mr. Markland has tried more than 50 civil, white collar and criminal cases. His experience has afforded him a wide range of clients and trials where he has represented several Fortune 500 Companies.

Mr. Markland holds the position of adjunct professor at Thurgood Marshall School of Law where he teaches Trial Simulation. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Fisk University in 1997 and his J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2000.
Anjali Sharma received her undergraduate degrees in Environment Science – Atmospheric Science and Political Science from University of Houston in 2010 and her J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2015.
Junior Associate Anjali Sharma was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Ms. Sharma attended the University of Houston and graduated with degrees in Environment Science – Atmospheric Sciences and Political Science.
Ms. Sharma then went on to attend law school at Thurgood Marshall School of Law. While there, she participated in mock trial competitions, became Review Editor of Law Journal and was President of the Community Outreach Program.
During Ms. Sharma’s first year of law school, she clerked with the Honorable Judge Maria Jackson in the 339th Criminal District Court in Harris County, Texas. In her second and third year of law school, Ms. Sharma began interning at the Markland Law Firm and has been heavily involved with the clients and cases since. Upon passing the Texas Bar Exam, Ms. Sharma was offered an Associate position.
Ms. Sharma is licensed to practice in Texas.
Roberto Cantu received his undergraduate degree in Government from University of Texas at Austin in 2009 and his J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2015.
Junior Associate Roberto Cantu was born in McAllen, Texas. Mr. Cantu attended college at The University of Texas at Austin graduating with a degree in Government and a minor in Business.
He received his law degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law finishing in the top ten percent of his class and graduating summa cum laude.
While at Thurgood Marshall, Mr. Cantu competed in various in-school competitions, was Articles Editor for the Thurgood Marshall Law Review, was the Honor Court Prosecutor, on the Board of Advocates and a member of the Hispanic Law Student Association.
Mr. Cantu moved to Houston for law school and while living here fell in love with the city and community, and decided to stay in Houston to start his legal career. Mr. Cantu is licensed to practice law in Texas.
